Supervision
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern Supervision
If you’re looking for a Qualified Supervisor to help supervise you through your Registered Mental Health Counselor Internship, give us a call.
Daniel Fisher has had experience in agency work, dual diagnosis treatment facilities, and currently working, full time, in private practice. His approach is to utilize a directive model that gives way to a developmental approach to supervision. We would love to help you on your journey of professional development to full licensure.
To get started, give us a call so we can set up an initial meeting. We can get to know each other and determine if working together would be a good fit. In the initial meeting, we will discuss the process of supervision, the rights, responsibilities, and challenges of a supervised registered internship as well as schedule and availability.
If we decide to work together, there are a few things Daniel provides as your supervisor as well as some things he will require of you as part of the working agreement.
The things Daniel will provide are:
- Training and evaluation regarding client progress
- Support between supervision meetings
- Support throughout the licensing process.
- Guidance in the business, marketing, and professional development of a private practitioner.
What Daniel asks you to provide:
- A signed internship contract between you (the intern) and me (supervisor).
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from professors, site supervisors, or other professionals.
- A working understanding of and respect for the ethical guidelines of the ACA.
- A copy of your registered intern license.
- A copy of your active and valid malpractice insurance.
Schedule:
Weekly or bi-weekly depending on caseload.
Fees:
Individual Supervision (1-2 Interns): $100 per hour
Group Supervision (3-6 interns): $50 per hour (per intern)
